San Diego Business Journal Health Care Heros Award
San Diego, March 1, 2018 – The San Diego Business Journal’s 2018 Health Care Heroes Awards chose Objective Capital Partners’ David H. Crean, Ph.D. from among the finalists to receive the Health Care Hero Award for Company Executive for his role in healthcare innovation and support.
Leading Objective Capital Partners’ Life Sciences & Healthcare Investment Banking Practice, David leverages more than 20 years of life sciences R&D and corporate development experience. In his Managing Director role, David helps companies secure growth capital, establish strategic partnerships, and achieve exit transactions.

The Health Care Hero Awards acknowledge and recognize leaders who combine innovation, passion for their craft, and compassion to improve healthcare products and services both for the community and the healthcare sector.
Nels Jensen, Editor at the San Diego Business Journal, outlined the criteria for the awards being based on contributions in the field with an emphasis on the past year’s achievements.
“We have a panel of independent judges who are looking for businesses and leaders who have made a positive impact on the San Diego County business community. This may be financial impact or operational impact,” said Jensen.
For Dr. Crean, the allied health professionals, clinicians, medical researchers, support staff, volunteers, and investors are the real healthcare heroes.
“Everyone who makes an impact on healthcare innovation and delivery in areas which have significant unmet medical needs, such as dementia, neurodegeneration, oncology, rare disorders and cardiovascular disease, are my healthcare heroes,” Crean said.
Winners of the San Diego Business Journal Health Care Heroes Awards were presented at a special event at The Westin, San Diego Gaslamp Quarter on February 28th, 2018.
