Objective Capital Partners Welcomes Matthew Pelo
In Matthew Pelo’s role as OCP’s Vice President, he brings valuable strategic insights and finance expertise to OCP’s clients. His leadership experience and extensive work in the areas of Genomics and Technology make him an outstanding addition to OCP’s senior team and further strengthen OCP’s Life Sciences and Healthcare Practice Group. With a proven ability to achieve exceptional results, Matt further enhances OCP’s ability to deliver premium investment banking and advisory services to our valued clients.
Prior to joining OCP, Matt was a member of the executive team at the New York Genome Center (NYGC) since its formation in 2012 where he played an instrumental role in growing the company into the premier research institution it is today. Matt most recently served as its Vice President Financial Strategy and Operations and had overall responsibility for the execution of research and clinical genomic services.
While with NYGC, Matt additionally held the roles of interim Chief Operating Officer and Chief of Staff to the President and Scientific Director. He led key strategic partnership development activities, including the partnership between NYGC and IBM, partnering with Johnson and Johnson Innovation to build JLabs@NYC, and collaborating with the University of Buffalo and New York State to establish a genomics medicine network throughout New York State. During his tenure with the NYGC, he became the longest serving member on the executive team.
Prior to his work with NYGC, Matt co-founded networkText.com (now Tatango.com), At Tatango, Matt and his team built an industry leading text messaging marketing company, which he successfully exited in 2008.
