David H. Crean, Ph.D., MBA, Managing Director, has been elected as the new President of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) San Diego, “Where Deal Makers Meet”. Dr. Crean will serve as President of the San Diego chapter of ACG from July 2019 to June 2020.
The Association for Corporate Growth is the global community for middle-market M&A deal-makers and business leaders focused on driving growth. With 59 chapters worldwide representing approximately 15,000 members, ACG serves over 90,000 investors, executives, lenders and advisers to growing middle-market companies. To communicate with its membership worldwide, ACG boasts its own award winning publication, Middle Market Growth.
Recent reporting shows that “75% of ACG members report that they have done business with fellow members”, validating and reinforcing the ACG mantra “Where Deal Makers Meet”.
The San Diego chapter has seen tremendous growth in the last 5 years, and is expected to continue its rise with David at the helm. Recently, in 2017, San Diego was awarded the ACG Chapter of the Year Award and recognized by Pat Morris, previous ACG Global President and CEO, for “delivering innovation, exceptional programming and networking opportunities to their members, which resulted in impressive membership growth and retention rates”. With David’s ability to network and create connections, we expect another banner year for membership growth in 2019-2020.
It is no surprise that Dr. Crean has been chosen for this position given his exceptional ability to facilitate deals, build networks, and find synergies between connections.
