This position will be responsible for oversight of all finance, accounting, and reporting activities. They are responsible for developing, deploying, and enforcing the best practices, procedures, and tools necessary to ensure consistency, quality, and maximum efficiency of both the Investment Banking and Valuation teams. They will be responsible for strategic initiatives and implementing process enhancements. They will play an integral role working closely and partnering with senior members of the execution team to drive effective growth strategies.

This role requires someone who can help us scale our organization with experience in change management through process development and documentation, efficiency and a whole lot of grit, creativity, and teamwork.
Essential duties & responsibilities.
- Responsible for oversight of all finance, accounting, human resources, recruiting, performance management, and various reporting activities.
- Conduct thorough and detailed analysis to produce data driven recommendations to enable leadership decisions. You’ll help in developing the plans with our leadership, driving results, and building stronger analytical competencies within the team.
- Consistently analyze and conduct rigorous analysis of financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes to help management team better understand the financial state of the firm.
- Define & manage KPI’s; as well as being accountable for identifying and driving action plans cross-functionally to improve those KPI’s.
- Utilize operational metrics dashboards & reports to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage and own the annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate.
- Project and margin management of client engagements including staffing & capacity planning.
- Drive operational improvement through establishment and documentation of operational processes and templates utilizing best-in-class systems and software.
- Conduct and prepare quantitative and qualitative business analysis and prepare materials for business strategy reviews.
- Oversee compliance in accordance with firm and industry compliance and regulatory mandates (FINRA)
Key qualifications & requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role at another professional services firm
- Thorough knowledge of Operations planning and analysis.
- Self-starter with ability to manage multiple assignments/projects with fluid deadlines to deliver commitments on time.
- Driven mentality with confident interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders and team members.
- Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks is required; working knowledge of CRM Systems required (our firm uses DealCloud).
- Strong communication skills and executive presence, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities.
- Willingness and desire to learn new concepts and improve processes for added efficiency and accuracy.
- Exceptional organizational skills and elevated attention to detail.
- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and unwavering commitment to our core values; a proactive, hands-on strategic thinker who will own, in partnership with the COO, the responsibility for Finance.
- Self-starting team player who excels in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, challenging work environment.
- Previous experience and working knowledge of EOS (“Entrepreneurial Operating System”) strongly preferred.
- Must be emotionally intelligent and possess keen conflict resolution skills (not conflict avoidance skills).
